Product information

Only the design of the grip differs between these two Wine Savers, there is no difference in how they work.

The ”click” sound is a vacuum indicator which makes a sound when optimum vacuum is reached. The ”click” vacuum indicator is integrated in the newer Wine Saver pumps (not in the Vacuum Stoppers).

The Wine Saver creates a ”click” sound when the required vacuum level is reached for keeping your wine fresh in a bottle. Of course, you are able to pump more to obtain a higher level of vacuum. This has no adverse impact on your wine.

By removing the click indicator, you can dispose Loop at the plastic waste at the end of its life – right there where it started. To reach a vacuum you simply pull the pump until you feel resistance.

This wine saver from Vacu Vin has the same high quality and durability as the original wine savers, but Loop looks differ like night and day. The grip of this wine saver is iconically shaped like a loop, to offer storage for the stopper. Next to this the pump is made from 98% recycled plastic, so we are limiting our use of virgin materials. Tot close the cycle, Loop can be fully recycled in the plastic waste stream at the end of its life because there is no metal part in it (that gives a “click” sound in our original products).

We selected these colours to match the vibrant style of nowadays users. They fit well with different types of tableware and bottles of wine.

Yes, you can use the traditional grey stoppers with Wine Saver Loop, and vice versa; the Loop stoppers can be used with the original wine savers.

You can use the new Wine Stoppers with your old Wine Saver pump. The old Wine Stoppers can also be used with the new Wine Saver pump. Only one exception for the Wine Saver & Server; this product is only compatible with the Wine Server & Stoppers.

The most common problem when the vacuum is leaking, is because the Wine Stopper is not clean. Dust or dirt on the stopper can cause the vacuum to leak. This can easily be solved by washing the Wine Stopper, preferably in the dishwasher. To do so, it is best to take the Wine Stopper apart. If this does not solve the issue, please contact us via the contact form, indicate the exact problem and include a picture of the Wine Stopper.

We recommend not to store wine bottles with a Wine Stopper laying down. When a bottle is sealed with a Wine Stopper, the best way to keep your wine fresh is to store it standing up straight. Otherwise the wine can get into the Wine Stopper, which will make the vacuum leak. Moreover, wine can also be sucked into the pump with the next use, which will make the pump sticky and stop it from functioning properly.

It can happen that little bits of wine get sucked into the pump while creating a vacuum. This will result in a sticky pump. You can clean it with a damp cloth and dishwashing soap. Let the pump dry and apply a little Vaseline (or similar grease) on the inside of the pump and the pump works just fine again. Please note: never put your pump in the dishwasher or submerge it in water!

After a while the grease that makes your pump work smoothly can wear off. You can apply a little Vaseline (or similar grease) on the inside of the pump and the pump works just fine again.

First of all, please check if you have the new model Wine Saver with ”click” vacuum indicator (from 2001). Old model pumps don’t have the ”click” function.

Wine Saver Evolution

How to test if your pump is creating a vacuum or not? You can easily test this by trying the pump on your hand. If you feel the vacuum, and the pump is not creating the click, the click function is probably broken.

Do you use the Wine Saver at a location that is at high-altitude? The ambient pressure at your location might be very low. In that case, the pump may not be able to achieve the necessary vacuum pressure for the click to operate. However, this doesn’t mean that the pump is malfunctioning, you can still use the pump and stoppers to keep your wine fresh.

When you followed the steps in cleaning and vacuum testing and still do not hear the click sound, the ”click” vacuum indicator is broken. Please fill out the contact form and indicate the exact problem. We will be happy to assist you.

The Wine Master Corkscrew is one of the products we sold in the past. Unfortunately we stopped selling (and producing) it over 10 years ago. Therefore, we can’t fix this product anymore. Discover our current Wine Openers here.

When the levers that clamp the bottle are squeezed together an internal mechanism is released after which you can pull the cork. Try harder, if you do not squeeze the levers firmly enough, the internal mechanism is not released.

To get the optimal “swirl” you should put 1Liter in the carafe.

The metal cap can be easily re-applied again, just screw it on and fix it tightly.
