Active Champagne Cooling Explained
Active champagne cooling is a process that uses innovative gel cooling technology to chill a bottle quickly and keep it at the right serving temperature without ice. This technology is applied in Vacu Vin’s Active Cooling Sleeves. Inside the sleeve is a layer of innovative cooling gel that freezes solid and stores cold energy. When wrapped around a bottle, the gel draws out heat efficiently and evenly, lowering the temperature in a short amount of time.
This method works differently from a traditional cooler or ice bucket. Instead of only slowing down how fast the champagne warms up, innovative gel cooling technology actively lowers the temperature. It is particularly useful if a bottle has not been pre-chilled, when champagne needs to be cooled quickly, or if you want to avoid melting ice and excess water.
Step 1: Freeze the sleeve
Place the sleeve in the freezer for at least 6 hours before use. This ensures the innovative gel cooling technology is fully frozen and able to hold maximum cold energy.
Step 2: Slide it over the bottle
Take the frozen sleeve from the freezer and fit it snugly over the champagne bottle. The close fit maximizes surface contact for rapid and even cooling.
Step 3: Cool the champagne
Within about 15 minutes the innovative gel cooling technology lowers the temperature of the champagne to its ideal serving range. The sleeve continues to insulate and keep the bottle cool for hours, even in warmer surroundings. For multiple bottles, or if you want to keep champagne cold for longer, keep extra sleeves in the freezer and switch them when needed.
Step 4: Store for next use
After use, rinse or wipe the sleeve and place it back in the freezer so it is always ready for the next bottle.
Active champagne cooling with innovative gel cooling technology makes it possible to chill champagne quickly, serve it at the right temperature, and enjoy it longer without the inconvenience of ice, water or mess. It is perfect for celebrations, garden parties, picnics or boat trips where a fridge or ice bucket is not practical.
